Riverfront Park
Wayne St.
Niles, MI
Very nice park overall, lots of room with multiple things to do has its pros and cons. We will return to this park as well 4 out of 5 stars.
Park has the following:
7 slides
2 sets of swings(1 set is for baby/toddlers and 1 set is for children of all ages)
Monkey Bars
Zip Line
2 Handicap accessible swings
Picnic Tables, Grills, Shade Trees
Metal Playground structure with plastic slides
Boat Launch
Pros:
Located behind Wonderland Theater in Niles, MI which is wonderful if you want to go to a Movie, take your kids to the playground first to let them burn off the energy before the movie :)
Large area with multiple things to do, Sand Volleyball court, Skate Park, Walking Trails, Wildlife(ducks, geese and squirrels)
Maintained by City Ground Crew(grass cut and trash emptied)
Walking trails are very nice for Parents and adults
Cons:
The Playground has no fencing around it and the playground equipment is Right Next to the River, so unattended children here is not an option!! River is FAST moving and accidents happen even faster!!!
Older children are in the area, due to the skate park and volleyball courts and ample area for bikes to be ridden, so at times this can be a hindrance for parents of babies and toddlers.
This park can get busy quickly so if you are looking for a nice quiet spot for you and your kids to spend your day this may not be the park for you.
Tips:
Make sure to Bring your Camera to this park there are many places to get great photos of the kids!!
You could even pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a lovely day here!!
