Sorry I haven't been around

If you are a reading this....Thanks for stopping By!!

I haven't been around because I have been helping with a project my parents have going on, I will also be out of town for a week or 2 starting next week so there most likely won't be any posts during that time...I will try to get out to one of the local parks this weekend but I can't promise anything.

Either way I will be back up and running after our trip, I am a Fall loving Mama so this blog should explode soon :)

Thanks again for reading!!!

Talk to you soon!!

Riverfront Park Niles, MI

Riverfront Park
Wayne St.
Niles, MI
49120

Summary:
Very nice park overall, lots of room with multiple things to do has its pros and cons. We will return to this park as well 4 out of 5 stars.

Park has the following:
7 slides
2 sets of swings(1 set is for baby/toddlers and 1 set is for children of all ages)
Monkey Bars
Zip Line
2 Handicap accessible swings
Picnic Tables, Grills, Shade Trees
Metal Playground structure with plastic slides
Boat Launch

Pros:
Located behind Wonderland Theater in Niles, MI which is wonderful if you want to go to a Movie, take your kids to the playground first to let them burn off the energy before the movie :)
Large area with multiple things to do, Sand Volleyball court, Skate Park, Walking Trails, Wildlife(ducks, geese and squirrels)
Maintained by City Ground Crew(grass cut and trash emptied)
Walking trails are very nice for Parents and adults

Cons:
The Playground has no fencing around it and the playground equipment is Right Next to the River, so unattended children here is not an option!! River is FAST moving and accidents happen even faster!!!
Older children are in the area, due to the skate park and volleyball courts and ample area for bikes to be ridden, so at times this can be a hindrance for parents of babies and toddlers.
This park can get busy quickly so if you are looking for a nice quiet spot for you and your kids to spend your day this may not be the park for you.

Tips:
Make sure to Bring your Camera to this park there are many places to get great photos of the kids!!
You could even pack a picnic lunch and enjoy a lovely day here!!

The Grove Park Berrien Springs MI

The Grove Park
South Main Street
Berrien Springs, MI
49103
Summary:
All In All 4.5 out of 5 Stars!! We will return to this one :)

Swings, Slides, Climbing, Play Area for 2-5 year olds, sand box, monkey bars and tire swings and more...

Pros:
  • Great Facility and very large play area!
  • Bathrooms available(we did not enter them but from the outside they looked maintained)
  • Trash Cans available in multiple locations
  • Covered eating area
  • Benches in the play area for resting time

Cons:
  • On the main play area(for older kids) there is a ladder area that is hidden from view and if you have an investigative toddler (like I do) they may find it and try to climb and could fall.
  • Drinking fountain didn't work when we were there and seemed to be only 1 that was in play area

*ATTENTION/CAUTION*

This park does sit "next to" Lake Chapin but it is quite a ways away and there is a VERY steep downward slope so if you have children that like to run make sure you keep your eyes on them.

The surrounding Roadways are traveled by people who live there but its not on a Main road so speeds are decreased.
